January 2024 in “International Research Journal of Ayurveda & Yoga” This case report describes the successful treatment of a 24-year-old female with alopecia areata, known as Indralupta in Ayurveda, using Ayurvedic methods. The patient underwent seven sessions of Jalaukavacharana (leech therapy) combined with Shamana Aoushadhi (Ayurvedic medication), resulting in the regrowth of lustrous black hair on the affected scalp area. The study concludes that these Ayurvedic treatments can provide a favorable outcome for patients with Indralupta.
