    Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is a surgical procedure used to treat urinary problems due to an enlarged prostate. During TURP, a surgeon inserts a resectoscope through the urethra to remove portions of the prostate that are blocking urine flow, providing relief from symptoms such as difficulty urinating and frequent urination.
