    A Q-switched laser is a type of laser that emits high-intensity pulses of light in very short durations, typically in the nanosecond range. This technology is commonly used in medical and cosmetic procedures, such as tattoo removal and treatment of pigmented lesions, because it can target and break down pigments without causing significant damage to surrounding tissues.
