    GlossaryPseudoporphyria

skin condition mimicking porphyria without enzyme deficiencies

Pseudoporphyria is a skin condition that mimics the symptoms of porphyria, such as blistering and increased sensitivity to sunlight, but without the underlying enzyme deficiencies seen in true porphyria. It can be triggered by certain medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or by excessive exposure to ultraviolet light.
