    GlossaryPoikiloderma

skin condition with thinning, visible vessels, and pigmentation changes

Poikiloderma is a skin condition characterized by a combination of atrophy (thinning of the skin), telangiectasia (visible small blood vessels), and changes in pigmentation (both hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation). It often appears as a mottled or patchy discoloration, typically on sun-exposed areas like the neck and chest. This condition can be a result of chronic sun exposure, certain genetic disorders, or radiation therapy.
