The study investigates the effects of Qu-shi-yu-fa Decoction (QSYF) on androgenetic alopecia (AGA) using a mouse model. QSYF was found to significantly accelerate hair regeneration by promoting the transition of hair follicles from the telogen to anagen phase, increasing hair bulb diameter and skin thickness. The decoction upregulated the expression of FOXN1 and TGM3, enhancing the proliferative activity of hair follicle papilla cells and regulating the hair cycle and keratinization process. Additionally, QSYF activated key signaling pathways such as PI3K-AKT and MAPK, demonstrating its therapeutic potential for AGA. The study highlights QSYF's potential as a novel treatment strategy for AGA by identifying new therapeutic targets.
