The review article discusses various laser therapies for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA), emphasizing their efficacy and safety. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is highlighted as the only FDA-approved laser treatment, showing significant improvements in hair density and thickness, with a 51% increase in hair counts in a study involving 44 women. Other lasers, such as red light, blue light, fractional CO2, Er:YAG, and thulium lasers, also demonstrate promising results in hair regrowth, especially when combined with treatments like minoxidil, microneedling, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). These combination therapies enhance hair density and growth, offering a minimally invasive alternative to traditional treatments with minimal adverse effects. However, further multicenter studies are needed to establish standardized protocols and optimize treatment parameters.
