January 2013 in “Clinical Endoscopy” Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is a rare condition marked by gastrointestinal and epidermal epithelial disturbances, typically presenting with juvenile-type hamartomatous polyps. In South Korea, 13 CCS cases had been reported without colon cancer until this study. This report detailed the first Korean case of CCS associated with malignant colon polyp and serrated adenoma in a 72-year-old male with symptoms including diarrhea, weight loss, nail dystrophy, hyperpigmentation, and alopecia. Endoscopic examination revealed numerous polyps, and pathology confirmed colon cancer and serrated adenoma. Treatment included Helicobacter pylori eradication and prednisolone.
