    Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic medical condition characterized by high levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood due to the body's inability to produce enough insulin or effectively use the insulin it produces. This can lead to various health complications, including cardiovascular disease, nerve damage, kidney failure, and vision problems. There are two main types: Type 1, where the immune system attacks insulin-producing cells, and Type 2, which is often related to lifestyle factors and insulin resistance.
