December 2019 in “Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Letters” The study investigated the mechanisms by which stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) promote hair growth in androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Using in vitro and in vivo models, it was found that both SVF and PRP significantly increased hair growth, with SVF showing superior results. Analysis revealed that SVF and PRP upregulated the expression of anti-apoptotic genes and induced hair follicle cell proliferation. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) results indicated that SVF and PRP enhanced the expression of proteins associated with the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, including VEGF and PDGF, thereby promoting hair growth. The effects of SVF were statistically stronger than those of PRP (P < 0.05).
