Poliosis is a condition characterized by a localized patch of white or gray hair, which can occur on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or other hair-bearing areas. This depigmentation results from a lack of melanin in the affected hair follicles and can be associated with various genetic conditions, autoimmune disorders, or even as a result of certain medications or treatments.
