abnormal reaction of skin or eyes to light exposure

Photosensitivity, also known as light sensitivity, is a condition where the skin or eyes have an abnormal reaction to sunlight or artificial light. This can manifest as discomfort, pain, or even skin rashes and burns after exposure to light. It can be caused by certain medications, medical conditions, or genetic factors, and is often managed by avoiding light exposure and using protective measures like sunscreen and sunglasses.
