Neoangiogenesis refers to the process by which new blood vessels form from pre-existing ones. This is a crucial mechanism in both normal physiological processes, such as wound healing and hair growth, and in pathological conditions like cancer, where it can facilitate tumor growth by supplying nutrients and oxygen.
