    GlossaryHair Miniaturization

hair follicles shrink, producing thinner and shorter hair strands

Hair miniaturization is a process where hair follicles shrink over time, producing thinner, shorter, and less pigmented hair strands. This phenomenon is commonly associated with androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness) and can eventually lead to the follicles becoming dormant and ceasing to produce hair altogether.

OP is trying various treatments (finasteride, minoxidil, nizoral, dermarolling, tretinoin) to regrow hair after 8 years of baldness. Users suggest persistence and possibly adding dutasteride, noting that age and consistency affect results.

A user's extreme regimen for hair loss, which includes taking oral and topical medications such as minoxidil, dutasteride, cyproterone acetate and bicalutamide, but still experiencing miniaturization. Suggestions were made to try other treatments such as RU58841 and Pyrilutamide, while also considering mental health treatment and advice on lookmaxxing.
