Nitrogen Mustard, also known as Mechlorethamine, is a type of chemotherapy drug originally derived from chemical warfare agents. It works by interfering with the DNA of rapidly dividing cells, making it effective in treating certain cancers, such as Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, it can also cause side effects like hair loss (alopecia) due to its impact on healthy rapidly dividing cells, including those in hair follicles.
