    Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is a condition where excess fat builds up in the liver of people who drink little to no alcohol. It is often associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome, and can progress to more severe liver damage, such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), fibrosis, or cirrhosis if left untreated.
