    Metabolic disorders, also known as metabolic diseases or metabolic conditions, are a group of conditions that occur due to disruptions in the normal metabolic processes within the body. These disruptions can be caused by genetic mutations, enzyme deficiencies, or issues with hormone production, leading to problems in how the body converts food into energy and manages waste products. Examples include diabetes, thyroid disorders, and phenylketonuria (PKU).
