This case report describes an adult Italian woman with endothrix tinea capitis, highlighting the unusual finding of telogen-sparing arthroconidia involvement during the infection.

Dermoscopy can help diagnose tinea capitis in children by looking for comma hairs, black dots, and broken hairs with white bands.

In this case report, a 2-month-old girl with tinea capitis showed significant improvement after treatment with oral griseofulvin and topical ketoconazole.
