    GlossarySeborrheic Keratosis (Seborrheic Wart)

common, non-cancerous skin growth appearing as waxy, scaly lesions

Seborrheic Keratosis, also known as SK or seborrheic wart, is a common, non-cancerous skin growth that typically appears as a brown, black, or light tan lesion with a waxy, scaly, slightly elevated appearance. These growths are most often found on the chest, back, head, or neck and are more prevalent in older adults, hence the alternative name "senile wart." While they are generally harmless and do not require treatment, they can be removed if they become irritated or for cosmetic reasons.
