This study found that alopecia areata patients in Central Europe with comorbid chronic inflammatory disorders, especially atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma, or Hashimoto's thyroiditis, had an increased likelihood of experiencing early-onset, severe, or prolonged disease compared to those without such comorbidities.
