September 2020 in “Animals” circRNA-1926 helps goat stem cells turn into hair follicles by affecting miR-148a/b-3p and CDK19.
August 2025 in “Tropical Journal of Natural Product Research” This study investigated the effects of Mentha piperita (mint) leaf and Aloe vera serum on CDK1 and CDC25 expression in Wistar rats with chemotherapy-induced alopecia. The study involved 42 rats divided into six groups, including a control group, a chemotherapy-induced alopecia group, and treatment groups with minoxidil, mint leaf serum, Aloe vera serum, and a combination of mint leaf and Aloe vera serum. Results showed that the combination serum significantly reduced CDK1 expression compared to the alopecia group, while CDC25 expression was unaffected. Mint serum alone reduced CDC25 expression, indicating potential for preventing chemotherapy-induced alopecia.
