Nude mice, also known as athymic mice, are a type of laboratory mouse that lacks a thymus, resulting in an impaired immune system and an inability to produce T cells. This makes them valuable in scientific research, particularly for studying cancer, immunology, and for growing human tissues and tumors, as they do not reject foreign cells.
