Genital warts, also known as Condylomata Acuminata, are growths or bumps that appear on the genital and anal areas, caused by certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) and can vary in size and appearance, sometimes forming clusters that resemble a cauliflower. While they can be asymptomatic, they may cause discomfort, itching, or pain. Treatment options include topical medications, cryotherapy, and surgical removal, but the underlying HPV infection may persist.
