Androgen Suppression, also known as Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT), involves reducing or blocking the action of androgens (male hormones like testosterone) to slow the growth of certain cancers, such as prostate cancer. This can be achieved through medications that inhibit androgen production or through surgical procedures like orchiectomy (removal of the testes).
