Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor (PDGFR) is a cell surface receptor that binds to platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs). When PDGFs attach to PDGFR, it triggers a series of cellular processes, including cell growth, division, and survival. This receptor plays a crucial role in wound healing and the development of blood vessels, and its malfunction can be associated with various diseases, including cancers and fibrotic conditions.
