This study reported that newly synthesized nonsteroidal compounds were effective at inhibiting prostatic 5 alpha reductase isozyme 2, especially the compound with an N, N-diisopropylcarbamoyl substituent, suggesting potential for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.
