The study investigated the effects of Yifa Compound Prescription (YCP) on human hair follicle growth in vitro. Hair follicles were cultured in different conditions, including groups with varying concentrations of YCP-including serum. Results showed that hair follicles cultured with 10% and 20% YCP-including serum exhibited better growth compared to those with blank serum, with a significant increase in the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mRNA. The study concluded that YCP could accelerate hair follicle growth and maintain their normal shape in vitro.
