TLDR Vijaya successfully fought stage 2A breast cancer with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy, while advocating for support groups.
The document is a personal account of Vijaya's (name changed) journey with breast cancer. She discovered a lump in her left breast during a self-examination, which was later confirmed to be malignant. Vijaya underwent breast conservation surgery and was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma of the left breast, stage 2A. Her treatment included four cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy with docetaxel and cyclophosphamide, followed by radiotherapy. She experienced side effects such as hair loss (alopecia) and darkening of the nails. Vijaya was also prescribed a Religrast injection after each chemotherapy cycle to improve the white blood cell count, and hormone therapy for 10 years. She found support in another patient undergoing the same treatment, and now advocates for patient and caregiver support groups. Despite the challenges, Vijaya remained positive and followed her doctor's instructions closely. She believes in the importance of good health, a happy mind, and staying away from stress.

There is no natural way to stop hair loss; pharmaceuticals like minoxidil, finasteride, and RU58841 are the only effective treatments. Some users report success with minoxidil and microneedling, while others discuss the side effects of finasteride.

A person with Alopecia Areata on their beard is using CB-03-01 and oral minoxidil for treatment. Some users question the effectiveness of CB-03-01 for beard hair, suggesting that minoxidil alone may be responsible for any observed hair growth.

Scalp biopsies are crucial for diagnosing hair loss conditions like Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia (DUPA) and retrograde hair loss, as treatments like finasteride and dutasteride may not be effective if other conditions are present. Combining PPAR-GAMMA agonists with retinoids could improve treatments for conditions like Lichen Planopilaris.
