TLDR No consensus was reached on diagnosing and treating lichen planopilaris and frontal fibrosing alopecia.
The study aimed to achieve a consensus among Costa Rican dermatologists on the diagnostic and treatment criteria for lichen planopilaris and frontal fibrosing alopecia, using the Delphi survey method. A total of 37 dermatologists participated, but the results showed significant variability in responses, with only 60% agreement on the questions, which was insufficient to meet the 80% threshold required for consensus by the Delphi method. Consequently, the study concluded that it was not possible to reach a consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions in this initial phase.
