TLDR Most patients with Tuberous sclerosis had neurological or skin issues, and over half had psychiatric problems.
The document presents a retrospective, descriptive, and observational study of 57 patients with Tuberous sclerosis (TE), conducted between January 1994 and March 2007. The study aimed to describe the clinical findings in these patients, marking the first study of its kind in a Spanish population. The results showed that all patients had neurologic or dermatologic alterations, with psychiatric alterations present in 55.5% of patients, kidney alterations in 32.8%, heart alterations in 22.4%, skeletal and lung alterations in 13.4%, and ophthalmologic alterations in 11.9%. The study detailed the types of alterations found in each category and described and classified the dermatologic findings according to type and location. The data from this study supported previously published data on TE. No commercial support was identified for the study.
