TLDR Cetuximab can cause excessive eyelash growth.
A 74-year-old female with metastatic rectal cancer developed trichomegaly of the eyelashes after 5 months of treatment with cetuximab, an EGFR inhibitor. This condition caused visual discomfort, necessitating the trimming of her eyelashes. The trichomegaly resolved one month after discontinuing cetuximab. The patient did not receive other drugs known to induce trichomegaly, supporting the conclusion that cetuximab was the cause. This case adds cetuximab to the list of drugs that can induce trichomegaly of the eyelashes.
