TLDR Low level laser therapy and acupuncture significantly improved hair growth in a patient with alopecia.
The study conducted 7 years ago aimed to evaluate the effect of low level laser therapy (LLLT) and acupuncture on hair loss, specifically in a patient suffering from alopecia caused by bed sore and alopecia areata. The patient underwent 29 sessions of laser therapy and acupuncture, and also took herbal medicine over a period of approximately 3 months. The results showed a significant improvement in hair loss, with new hair growth observed across the entire scalp. The study concluded that LLLT is an effective method for treating alopecia and can potentially reduce the duration of alopecia treatment.
