Therapies for Onychomycosis: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis of Mycologic Cure

TLDR Terbinafine 250 mg is the most effective treatment for fungal nail infections.
The document presents four separate abstracts from different studies, but none of them are directly related to hair loss, alopecia, or hair growth. The first abstract discusses how hair care practices and attitudes toward hair management may influence exercise habits in African American women, with 61 women surveyed indicating that hair management can be as prohibitive to exercise as poor health. The second abstract is a systematic review and network meta-analysis of mycologic cure rates for onychomycosis treatments, which found terbinafine 250 mg to be superior among systemic therapies. The third abstract investigates the role of TNF-a in nonscarring inflammatory alopecia, with results showing less TNF-a staining in alopecia areata and telogen effluvium compared to controls. The fourth abstract describes a study on a topical botanical extract for managing chemotherapy-induced alopecia, showing an increase in the anagen/telogen ratio and Bcl-2 levels in androgenetic alopecia subjects after product application. However, none of these abstracts provide a conclusion that directly addresses the priority subjects of hair loss, alopecia, or hair growth.
