TLDR Microneedling showed the most significant results for treating hair thinning in Androgenetic Alopecia.
The document from 5 years ago was a systematic literature review aimed at identifying available treatments for Androgenetic Alopecia (AA), a non-scarring hair thinning condition with unknown cause, affecting both men and women. The study, which used various sources including Google Scholar, PubMed, and dermatology books, analyzed 2 articles on low-level laser therapy, 3 on microneedling, 5 on alopecia and its general treatments, and 2 on mesotherapy. The conclusion was that while there are several treatments available for AA, including microneedling, low-level laser therapy, and mesotherapy, all of which showed evidence of efficacy, microneedling was the treatment that showed the most significant results.
