TLDR The mix of 2% flutamide and 5% minoxidil improves hair thickness more than just 5% minoxidil alone in treating hair loss.
This study compared the effects of using 5% minoxidil solution alone versus a mixed solution of 2% flutamide and 5% minoxidil in patients with androgenetic alopecia. The study included 40 patients who were randomly assigned to either the control group (using only minoxidil) or the combined group (using both flutamide and minoxidil). The results showed that the combined group had a significant improvement in hair thickness compared to the control group. Both patients and physicians also reported higher satisfaction in the combined group. This suggests that using a combination of these two drug solutions may be beneficial in treating androgenetic alopecia.
