TLDR Palmitoyl-GDPH speeds up wound healing and improves tissue regeneration without toxicity.
The study evaluated the wound healing effects of Palmitoyl-GDPH in Sprague Dawley rats over 18 days, showing superior results compared to tetracycline and saline controls. Palmitoyl-GDPH promoted faster wound closure, achieving 94.52% closure by day 15, and enhanced tissue regeneration, including hair follicle growth, indicating the formation of functionally viable tissues. Histological analysis showed increased re-epithelialization, collagen deposition, and reduced scar formation. The treatment was non-toxic, with no significant changes in liver, kidney, and pancreas biomarkers. These findings suggested that Palmitoyl-GDPH could be a promising therapeutic agent for wound healing.
