TLDR The LED device safely improves neck skin appearance without affecting thyroid function.
The study assessed the safety and efficacy of a home-use LED device for neck skin rejuvenation, focusing on its impact on thyroid gland morphology and function. Over 16 weeks of daily use, thyroid function tests and ultrasonographic analyses showed no significant changes, indicating safety for the thyroid and parathyroid glands. The device significantly improved neck skin appearance, as evidenced by the Lemperle wrinkle scale and global improvement scales, with benefits persisting 8 weeks post-use. Biophysical parameters like hydration, elasticity, and density also improved, confirming the LED device's effectiveness and safety for long-term use.
