TLDR Combining iron supplements with Qilib lotion is more effective for treating hair loss from iron deficiency.
The 2016 study investigated the effects of a lotion called Qilib on 60 female patients aged 20-45 with Diffuse Telogen Alopecia (DTA) due to iron deficiency anemia. DTA is a common cause of hair loss characterized by the daily loss of more than 100 hairs. The patients were divided into two groups: both received iron supplements, but one group also used Qilib. After 3 months, both groups showed increased hair density and decreased hair loss, but the group using Qilib had an 18% higher hair density and significantly larger hair diameter. The study concluded that combining iron therapy with Qilib was more effective in treating DTA.
