TLDR Dexpanthenol improves hair growth and satisfaction in women without side effects.
Systemic dexpanthenol may be a promising treatment for female pattern hair loss, with a high satisfaction rate reported by women who received 500 mg intramuscular dexpanthenol weekly. The study found it to be safe and effective in improving patient satisfaction without any reported side effects. Dexpanthenol has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects and is typically used for other conditions. Women who received 500 mg of intramuscular DXP weekly for 2 months experienced improved hair growth and quality of life with no significant adverse effects. However, further research is needed to confirm its effectiveness.
