TLDR Sulfur-based treatments combined with simparica effectively treat scabies in puppies.
A 2-month-old female dog named Desi was diagnosed with scabiosis, showing symptoms like itching, alopecia, and skin lesions. Initial treatment included simparica, followed by a regimen of Diphenhydramine HCl, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Kalvidog, and topical Scabbless Cream, along with sulfur-containing Dermasep soap baths. After 10 days, Desi's condition improved significantly, with reduced itching and healthier skin, and no Sarcoptes mites were found. Continued care with Virgin Coconut Oil and Kalvidog was recommended to promote hair growth. The case highlights the effectiveness of combining simparica with sulfur-based treatments for scabies in puppies.
