TLDR Hair bulb cells can create skin-like tissues for potential skin repair.
The study observed that when early passages of cultured dorsal hair follicle bulb cells from 4-day-old C57BL/6J mice were implanted into collagen/chitosan porous scaffolds in vitro, a skin-like structure was successfully formed. This indicated that the implantation of hair follicle bulb cells into these scaffolds could facilitate skin regeneration in a controlled laboratory setting.
