TLDR Both single and double spin PRP methods effectively treat male hair loss, but single spin is easier and cheaper.
This prospective study compared the effectiveness of single spin versus double spin techniques of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) preparation in treating male Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) with 28 participants over six months. Both methods significantly improved hair count, with no statistical difference between them (p-value=0.98). Younger patients (20-24 years) and those with AGA duration of less than one year showed better responses. The study concludes that both techniques are effective, but the single spin method is easier, less time-consuming, and cheaper, making it a viable standard method for PRP preparation in AGA treatment.
