TLDR Early intervention is crucial for managing blood clotting issues in pregnant women with COVID-19.
The study aimed to predict the risk of sepsis-induced coagulopathy (SIC) due to SARS CoV-2 in pregnant women using the SIC score. Data from 98 medical records were analyzed. Results showed that 86% of the patients received timely antithrombotic prophylaxis, with SIC scores between 1 and 2. On the first day, 49% of patients were anticoagulated, and by the second day, 36.4% received anticoagulation. Ultimately, 52% of anticoagulated patients were discharged alive, with 29.6% of those treated with enoxaparin surviving. The study highlights the importance of early intervention in managing coagulopathy in pregnant women with COVID-19.
