TLDR Vaginal surgeries generally did not significantly change women's sexual quality of life.
The study evaluated the impact of vaginal surgical interventions for genital prolapse or urinary incontinence on the sexual quality of life in 40 women aged 50-64. Six months post-surgery, 42.5% reported improved sexual life, 22.5% experienced decreased libido, and 35% saw no significant change. Most women (57.5%) reported no sexual discomfort, though 27.5% experienced dyspareunia and 15% had dysuria. The surgeries did not negatively affect the sexual quality of life for the patients' male partners. Overall, these interventions did not significantly alter the women's sexual quality of life.
