TLDR Finasteride for hair loss doesn't harm erectile function; weight loss and exercise improve it.
This document includes two studies related to sexual function. The first study evaluated sexual function in men taking finasteride for androgenetic alopecia using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) and found no negative impact on erectile function after 4 to 6 months of treatment. However, the study did not assess libido or ejaculation. The second study was a randomized controlled trial of 110 obese men with erectile dysfunction, which found that weight loss and increased physical activity improved erectile function as measured by the IIEF score.
