TLDR Serum ferritin levels do not cause hair loss in women with telogen effluvium.
This study investigated the role of serum ferritin levels in 80 female patients with telogen effluvium (TE) compared to 20 control females without hair loss. The results showed that both groups had normal serum ferritin levels, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit values, red blood cell counts, and blood indices. Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences between the TE patients and the control group, suggesting that serum ferritin levels were not a contributing factor to TE in the studied population.
