TLDR Short-peptide gel scaffolds improve burn wound healing and hair growth.
The study investigated the effects of self-assembling short-peptide nano-fiber gel scaffolds, specifically RADA16-1, on the aesthetic repair of burn wounds in 20 female SD rats. The experimental group, treated with RADA16-1, showed improved wound healing, hair follicle growth, hair growth length, and higher expression of bFGF and EGF compared to the control group treated with NaCl. The results indicated that the assembly of short peptide nano-fiber gel scaffolds effectively enhanced the repair of burn wounds.
