TLDR The dog recovered well after treatment, showing no skin issues and normal hair growth.
A two-month-old local breed male dog with severe pruritus and symptoms of scabiosis and toxocariosis was treated with sarolaner and pyrantel, among other medications. Diagnostic tests confirmed the presence of Sarcoptes scabiei mites and Toxocara canis worm eggs. The dog exhibited hyperchromic microcytic anemia, leukocytosis, and lymphocytosis. After 30 days of treatment, the dog showed significant improvement with no skin lesions and normal hair growth. The prognosis was positive, and owners were advised to maintain cleanliness and treat other animals to prevent reinfection.
