The S1 guideline on Post-COVID/Long-COVID, initiated by the German Respiratory Society, was developed through an interdisciplinary approach based on the knowledge available at the time. It provided clinical recommendations on symptoms, diagnostic approaches, and therapies for Post-COVID/Long-COVID. The guideline aimed to be practical and was designed to be continuously updated and adapted by the author team as new knowledge emerged.
