TLDR Authors retracted paper due to errors in data and mislabeling.
The authors of a paper titled "Crystallization Engineering in Aza-Steroid: Application in the Development of Finasteride" have retracted their paper due to errors in the reported data. The IR spectrum labeled as finasteride was actually dihydrofinasteride, the XRD data for a different form of finasteride was included, and the ¹³C NMR spectrum for finasteride was mislabeled. Additionally, the CIF file for the finasteride structure was not included in the Supporting Information as intended. There is no evidence of intentional data manipulation. The paper was originally published on October 31, 2012, and retracted on August 25, 2016.
